Romans 8 38-39

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Kids: Dealing with difficult situations

Listen:

A song written by someone who knows isolation and pain but clings to Jesus

DO:

Consider if there is anyone that God is prompting you to support or encourage today. This could be as simple as messaging them to thank them for their role or sending cards to a local care home etc

Pray :

  • Pray for wisdom and guidance for the world leaders

  • Pray for researchers and scientists and for God’s guidance for treatment methods and the development of a vaccination

  • Protection of the vulnerable- those with health conditions, the lonely, the elderly, those in situations of abuse and exploitation, those who have lost income, those who are homeless

  • Pray for NHS and medical staff and those who are in hospital

  • Pray for other key workers: e.g emergency services, those delivering goods, shop workers, school/ nursery staff, carers, transport staff etc

  • Pray for organisations responding to human trafficking and exploitation, unsafe homes and domestic violence

  • Pray for safety over the internet as certain vulnerabilities rise

  • Within these you may want to pray widely and also consider specific people and organisations impacted in our local community.
