REFLECT | 'What is going on in our lives right now?’

ENGAGE | ‘How do we engage with what God is saying to us?

The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”

  • How comfortable are you with interruptions?

  • When has God spoken to you?

But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

  • What would it look like if we were able to hear God the same way Jonah did?

  • What would happen if we responded positively every time God prompted us concerning something?

Then the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up.

  • What other storms do you know of in the bible?

  • What constitutes a storm in your life? Health/finance/relationships/family/friends/work/disappointments etc..

  • Are there storms in your life at the moment?

    • Are they the consequences of your own or other people’s actions?

    • What is your response to the storm? How do you self-medicate?

INSPIRE | - ''How do we inspire each other to do something different this week? What opportunities are in front of us, that we can choose to explore?’

Discuss

  • What ONE thing am I going to take the opportunity to do differently this week?

  • How can we INSPIRE each other to listen out to God this week?
